The Water Rocket Achievement World Record Association (WRA2) administers several distinct classes for water rocket world record competition.

The Water Rocket Single Stage Altitude Record. Eligible competitors fly class legal single stage water/air powered rockets to compete for the world altitude record.

The Water Rocket Multiple Stage Altitude Record. Eligible competitors fly class legal multiple stage water/air powered rockets to compete for the world altitude record.

The Water Rocket Flight Duration Record. Eligible competitors fly class legal single stage water/air powered rockets to compete for the world's longest flight.

WRA2 Competitors can reinforce their bottles using various nonmetallic materials.
WRA2 Competitors can reinforce their bottles using various nonmetallic materials.

The WRA2 Unreinforced Bottle Altitude Record. Eligible competitors fly class legal single stage water/air powered rockets constructed using an unreifnorced beverage bottle to compete for the world altitude record.

The WRA2 Open Design Unreinforced Bottle Altitude Record. Eligible competitors fly class legal open design water/air powered rockets constructed using unreifnorced beverage bottle(s) to compete for the world altitude record.

The Water Rocket Dragster World Record Competition. Eligible competitors launch class legal water/air powered vehicles to compete for speed and distance records.
